Nintendo has released their February 25th eShop sales charts and The Legend of Zelda series continues to have a strong showing, once again showcasing eight titles cross-platform on the charts. On the Wii U, The Wind Waker HD was dethroned from the top spot by the release of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze after maintaining the top spot for several months. A Link to the Past slipped to number four, while the NES Remix title fell a few spots down from number four to number six. It’s interesting to note that with so many titles falling ever so slightly, Super Mario World moved up from number three to number two, taking A Link to the Past’s spot on the sales chart.

On the 3DS side of things, Zelda continued to perform incredibly strong with five total games featured in the top 20. After previously slipping from the number one spot after months of eShop dominance due to the release of Bravely Default, A Link Between Worlds maintained its spot at number four. Link’s Awakening DX fell from the number nine spot to the number 14 spot, Oracle of Seasons managed to fall from number 11 to 16, and and Oracle of Ages and The Legend of Zelda managed to slip to the last two spots in the chart to round things out.

We should get Majora on the 3DS!

Makes sense, DK is much more fun than Zelda

    • Zack Archer

If you think that then why are you here?

  • Vladislak

Well, it was up there for months. It did well.

Plus at least it was a good game that took it’s place. We can be pleased with that at least.

On the Wii U, 10 of 20 are Virtual Console games. On the 3DS, 7 of 20 are VC games.

A price reduction for WWHD will see another intake of purchases. A similar thing happened with Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate when it went for 40% off.
