The new Mario & Luigi Wii U bundle replaced the standard Wii U Deluxe bundle late last week, and it seems to be having an immediate impact on the sales of the Wii U. The new bundle hasn’t even been out for a full week, and yet it has sold out at US retailers Target and Gamestop. Furthermore, the sales of the Wii U tripled last month, thanks to the $50 price cut and the release of the Wind Waker HD bundle. The Wii U has been struggling for most of the year, and along with the recent price cut, Nintendo’s aggressive bundling approach seems to be helping to get the Wii U off store shelves. The holiday season is growing closer, so it will be interesting to see if this momentum continues not only into the holidays, but into next year as well.
