Nintendo recently sent press copies of Skyward Sword to IGN, Kotaku, 1UP, and more. The companies were told that nothing about the Zelda Symphony CD could be released in their coverage and unboxing of the game. Unfortunately for Nintendo, 1UP screwed up and gave the camera a glance at the track list for the CD.

Now the list is all over the Internet, and for those who can’t wait until the CD hits stores, we have a copy of the track list here!

1. The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Medley
2. Kakariko Village Twilight Princess Theme
3. The Wind Waker Symphonic Movement
4. Gerudo Valley
5. Great Fairy’s Fountain theme
6. Twilight Princess Symphonic Movement
7. The Legend of Zelda Main Theme Medley
8. Ballad of the Goddess from Skyward Sword

I am very pleased with the list, and super excited for the CD! Who else is excited? Any tracks you feel should have been included on the CD? Leave us some comments below!

Sounds like a great selection, can’t wait!

  • MDH

Aww, only 8 tracks? From the concert recordings at Bit Beacon I hoped the CD would have more, if not all of the tracks featured in the concert. I would have loved the Selected Shorts, Ganondorf's Theme or the Hyrule Field theme… But maybe the first track "Anniversary Medley" will feature more tracks than it did in the concert?

  • supergiraloz

im surprides it's 8 aswell, there are so many great songs to inlude on the list that would've been better, i.e stone tower temple, song of storms, byrne's theme and linebecks theme to name a few

  • Jeez, no Hyrule Castle theme? A bit dissapointed at that. I'm glad they didnt include the ocarine medley. It was a nice way to introduce the orchestra, but it' would drag on a bit on cd.

I'm just glad they include the Wind Waker movement. My favourite piece of the night. Loved the way thjey told the story with the music and the giant video screen! =D

  • Chris

    Wait what?
Several other sites have stated that there's 24 tracks.
    Ah well.

  • Weevil

wish they had hidden village from TP or dragon roost island from ww. best songs ever!

    • Lemurdragon

I think the Dragon Roost theme is in the main theme medley. Could be wrong though.

    • Justin

dragon roost island is in the 25th anniversary medley

  • ABAZELDAFAN

WAIT A MINUT ONLY 8 TRACKS.
I WAS IMAGIN LIKE 20/25 TRACKS

    • matt17

I totally agree on that, I was about to mention that

  • Sakume

Still a good deal for those (like me) that don't have the wii motion plus. Though you can easily just d/l the tracks not available, that's what I've done.

  • aeolus

NOOOOOOO they didn't do the Boss Battle Medley…. I love that one, lol

  • I swear, didn't they do more at the Anniversary Symphony? I wished all orchestrations were included in that.

  • neos

    not bad

  • Lemurdragon

    Well, I'm not TOO disappointed.
…BUT NO BOSS MEDLEY?! REALLY!? RAGHBLAWGRAHFRANDAGAH!
*sighs* At least they included the Wind Waker movement.

  • Melvin

1UP did that intentionally. haha it's funny though. Nintendo must be pissed

  • Marcus

Man i'm so excited for this game. AAAAHHHH I NEED THAT SOUND TRACK NOW!!!!

  • tetraxlink

    Phantom Ganon’s Theme from WW
    Princess Zelda’s Theme
    Midna’s Theme
    To name a few.
I would have liked a 2 disk CD with tons of tracks.

  • TheMaverickk

Now it just needs to be leaked to the internet ….. lol.

Man it would've been nice if they fleshed it out to 10 songs or something though.

So many Zelda songs not represented. Like what about songs from Majora's Mask? What about Adventure of Link… Link's Awakening had the Ballad of the Windfish…. instead we get the most overhead stuff.

Anyways the Wind Waker symphonic movement I heard was great and I'm glad that game got represented.

  • "Ballad of the Goddess…" That's a beautiful name for what I've been thinking was the "Skyward Sword Main Theme." Blargh, even this CD set, which I sadly won't be getting, is raising my hype for Skyward Sword!

  • Nintendo: Don't do it! Don't do it!
    1UP: Why?
Nintendo: Because we're making cut-backs and so we have to settle with small capacity disks.
1UP: ಠ_ಠ *Releases list to prevent launch mass disappointment*
    Nintendo: Noooooo!
    1UP: *cool face*

Is that really it? I was expecting it to be much bigger – like all of the songs performed at the Symphony. I can think of several song's that I'd prefer to Great Fairy's Fountain theme (most of them have already been included in the comments). I'm a little disappointed that Windmill Hut/Song of Storms isn't on the list – that's always been a favorite.

  • xGummiBearsx

So happy to see Wind Waker music in there. Personally I thought it had the best music in the Zelda series. Sadly this CD will be neglected untill I finish the game. xD

  • demonlordghirahim

    no hyrule castle? aw 🙁

  • Bob

Um, boo! They got an orchestra together and didn't do the A Link to the Past ending? It's the sort of orchestration people want played at their funerals!

  • Marshmallow Moo

What a shame that they didn't include anything from Majora's Mask.

  • Michael

in all the coverage of the concerts, (without watching every video), did they do any music from AOL? I still love the temple music, and was so happy it was redone for the Smash Bros. It's such a classic track, but from what I saw AOL was completely absent from the concert.

  • TheNoodler

It’s a shame there is no MM. But after hearing it, I’m impressed. It’s quite amazing hearing all the songs from Zelda’s history even more grand than they were before. It’s a reason in of itself to buy Skyward Sword.
