The newest issue of Nintendo Power includes a preview Skyward Sword. This preview contains new details focusing on a particular area of the game. There are some small spoilers, but no huge details have been revealed. Once again, this article contains spoilers!

Here is a list of some new details Nintendo has released:

  • Link obtains the beetle in Skyview Temple
  • Link re-visits Skyview Temple later in the game to find more difficult enemies to face, this being blue bokoblins instead of red.
  • The second time Link visits Skyview Temple, he enters the Silent Realm
  • Link must find 15 Tears of Farore and escape to the exit.
  • There is something called Waking Water, and it alerts the guardians if Link steps in it
  • If Link survives the Silent Realm, he will receive a Water Dragon Scale which allows him to swim
  • The Water Dragon, which is the region’s protector, is injured and Link must help it to reach the Ancient Cistern
  • In the Ancient Cistern, the boss is activated by Ghirahim, and Link must use its weapons own weapons against it in order to defeat the boss.
  • There is a clown named Dodoh, who runs a mini game. The mini game shoots Link into the air, where Link must then collect rupees by falling through multipliers and then landing on the spinning platform below. Dodoh claims to have a special prize, which has not been revealed.

Farore must be the main goddess of skyloft, what did she make according to OoT?
they all had a role in the making of hyrule?

    • kamitsurugi

Farore made the life on the earth that Din made.

        Welcome to Zelda Universe!

    • TheMaverickk

Of all the goddesses that would represent Skyloft, I think it would be Nayru. This is because Zelda is sort of the chosen priestess for the event honoring the goddess. Zelda has generally been connected with Nayru since she is usually the holder of the Triforce of Wisdom.

Mind you it's possible that there are statues to all 3 of the goddess' in Skyloft, we just haven't seen them yet. Or maybe they are located on other floating landmasses.

you collect Tears of Farore because you are in the forest region most likely. Eldin Volcano probably has Tears of Din, and the desert Tears of Nayru.

I can barely read these without getting scared of spoilers

    • A_LINK_IN_TIME

      Don't worry, nothing major here.

    • TheMaverickk

Nothing you couldn't figure out from watching the official trailers Nintendo has released.

  • A_LINK_IN_TIME

"If you survive the silent realm…"

That sentence has a creepy vibe to it.

    • Ashmic

      sileeent hiiiillll lol

      • A_LINK_IN_TIME

I watched the Silent Hill movie this weekend and it was so creepy!

  • fiercedeityfan

It would be awesome if Din and Nayru were in this game too!!!

  • Hyrule's Shadow

I think that all 3 goddesses make an apperance in this game. The Water Dragon scale reminds me of the Zora scale in Oot. I can't wait for this game though!

I love Ghirahim! Who's with me?

    • TheMaverickk

I also think Ghirahim is an amazing villain, can't wait to play Skyward Sword.

  • I can't wait to be able to swim like the Zora again. =]

In case people want there's a Japanese overview trailer for Skyward Sword.

    Be forewarned there are spoilers in here;

The spoilers are rather light if you've been watching any of the official trailers released for Skyward Sword … like the origins trailer and so on. Most of the NEW footage is just extended views of things we've already seen in the game. Some different little scenes with the whale, some extended interaction of characters, like the mysterious blond girl fighting Ghirahim.

The majority of the video is just showing game mechanics, the gush below, bow and arrow, potion making, ect.

    So enjoy if you'd like!

Did anyone notice the astonishing similarities between the mini-game that was mentioned above and the aisle of rupees from TP?
