Despite teasing us about Skyward Sword for over a year now, Nintendo still hasn’t given us an official release date for when Link’s brand new adventure will be hitting shelves. The closest we have to an official release date from Nintendo is “this holiday season”.

Go Nintendo has reported that a European retailer is claiming that Skyward Sword will be released in Europe on the 25th of November, just a few short months away. The report also states that two versions of the game are available for preorder: the standard edition, and a special edition packaged with the golden Wii remote, shown off by Nintendo on the E3 stage a few weeks ago.

While a few other retailers have the special edition of Skyward Sword available for preorder, most (if not all) do not have an official release date listed for the game.

Do you think November 25th sounds like a plausible release date? Share your thoughts with us in the comments!

Nah, They should definately push it to the shelves late summer[:

    Besides… It's already being fine-tuned;P
    Thumbs up if you agree!

Nintendo would be shooting themselves in the foot if the game isn't out before Black Friday (for North America).

I'm expecting a November 13th or November 20th release for America. The game will probably see a slightly earlier or later release in Japan. Late November to December for Europe and Australia.

    • DekuSprout

They have confirmed it'll be a worldwide consecutive release to avoid spoilers

  • Walweegee

Huh, well I guess I better get my Wii fixed before the holidays, don't wanna miss out on an awesome game then have my friends brag about it in front of my face.

  • Keimori

Anytime during November makes sence to me considering november is a verry traditional "Holiday season" type release.

  • BaTTaLioN CHaoS

November 25th sounds a plausible date to me, because it is on a friday (which is a usual relase date here in europe) and it is just before 5th of december which is a national holiday in the netherlands (saint nicolas day or "sinterklaas" how we call it, 6th for austria if i'm not mistaken.)

  • Silver-Lynx4

soo…when will it be released in LatinAmerica???? I MUST KNOWW D:

    • mcdude910

It's supposed to be a consecutive release… so if it's November 25th in Europe, then it will be November 25th all over the world.

  • stratisfire

aww man i was just going to rent it and put it on my homebrewed wii but then i realized that you have to buy it to get the gold wiimote.. you got me again nintendo

  • I highly doubt it because all major releases come out on tuesday and november 25 is a friday

    • Hussain

Nintendo usually releases their games on Sundays, so I'm guessing November 20th?

  • alvaro rios

seems good it IS the 25th ANNIVERSARY of The Legend of Zelda!!

  • I hope it comes out soon… like before November

  • Fuji

I am always wondering how the game producer manage to enjoy the game even though they already know everything about the game ….do their minds get brainwashed after the game is released ?

  • Keimori

Hate to break it to ya, but November 25th is still technicly Fall.

  • cloverplayer

    winter is mid December.

    • Keimori

The 22nd to be exact, but it won't be THAT close to Christmas considering alot of people like to have most gifts wraped up and under on tree by then.

Besides, theres a realy odd stigma surounding "last minute" shopping.

  • Eiarn

I recall reading somewhere(I forget where) that Nintendo was planning a worldwide release. Meaning that Skyward Sword will release EVERYWHERE at the same time. This way the story and what not won't be ruined by people who may have gotten the game first.

  • swizzles!

November sounds pretty reasonable to me, though I wish it would come sooner…

On the subject of the "Special Edition," I kind of wish they would also bundle it with a regular WM+ attachment, as I really don't need another controller. I suppose it's not much trouble to just buy it separately… /ramble

  • Michwahel

I love when we get worldwide releases. I live in Australia so we usually get games late, but since our days start ealier than most places because of the time difference, we'll be one of the first to get Skyward Sword.

  • supergiraloz

    AS
    EARLY
    AS
    HUMANLY
    POSSIBLE
that would be the best time

  • zeldafan

please be fall please be fall please be fall please be fall please be fall );!

  • Nessa

    omg my birthday. It's perfect!

  • November makes sense. In September they're releasing Xenoblade here, which is one of their big titles, so I guess two months later, just a month before christmas, is the perfect release date.

  • Justin

November 25th sounds about right, it's in the fall, and it could be argued that it fits in with Nintendo's holiday release statement, so it fits in with Nintendo's statement and the 25th anniversary pamphlet in the OOT3D case.

  • Soulless Creature

    (Today)
    Nintendo: "patience young one."
Me: "Ok I'm going to play LOZ."
    (5 months later)
Nintendo: "Just working on the faults."
Me: Well finish it soon, I'm off to play Metroid prime 3."
    (One year after today)
    Nintendo: "Nearly done."
Me: "Thats it! Forget this I'm not a Zelda fan any more. I'm going to play Sonic 3."
Nintendo: Noooooo! Why did we make them wait.
P.S The longer I wait the less I will care and I chose these games because they are fun, I can play them right NOW and they are an alternative to playing LOZ.

    • Soulless Creature

I won't stop playing Zelda but I will not care about Skyward Sword.

  • Elijah

I thought they said at E3 that they were going to atomatically bundle the game with the controller, not having a limited edition.

  • link-tl

its right because i saw 4 Gamestop’s in Dallas saying coming out in November with a HUGE poster saying coming this November

  • I have played this game. It is awesome. I recommened to all to play this game
