That’s right, fans! We got our hands on a high quality recording of the amazing orchestrated arrangement from this mornings press conference. Firegs from ZREO, one of our dear friends, was kind enough to remaster the recording from earlier today. Hit play below and listen in all its glory. Enjoy!

I was waiting for zelda Universe to post this. The Music sounds amazing, and I can't wait for this game to come out!

  • David

    First, by the way. =D

    • Soulless Creature

      Not really your second. ๐Ÿ™‚

      • David

My first comment was first. So, I was double first.

        • Soulless Creature

Yeah but the comment you had first on was second.

  • with all this hub bub about orchestras, it's pretty safe to assume SS will have an orchestrated sound track for the whole game right?

    • mzxrules

Pretty sure that was confirmed way back when Super Mario Galaxy was still in development.

  • it sounds incredible BTW

  • Link

Amazing work he did! Definite download!

Great job Koji amazing work i just wish the live orchestra would be able to keep up with your great work! the orchestra was TERRIBLE there was shredding of the tempo, barely any tuning honestly worst part of press conference they didn’t even start together which is the MOST important part! before you start firing comments at me i just want to say im in band and love zelda and it’s music but if thats what i have to look forward to in SS i’d rather have midi that group should be ashamed of their perfomance if we had played like that in my band my band director would have called us Oompa Loompa’s and wouldn’t go on till we fixed it! These are just my thoughts I am strongly opinionated so no downthumbs thanks. with that i’m out.

alot of orchestra's make mistakes, for example, the hollywood bowl orchestra made a mistake on John Williams' "Yoda's Theme" playing a cymbal crash when there should not be one present, and the performance was even conducted by williams, so some professional orchestra's make mistakes.

(here is the video of the mistake:

  • Soulless Creature

The Legend Of Zelda in music form, need I say more.

  • Sanity's_Theif

What else can you say? Except EPIC

    • Sanity's_Theif

One thing I was dissapointed about with the video that went along with this, is that I didn't see any Majora's Mask ๐Ÿ™ Arguably their best or second best 3D game(came in second on that tournament) and nothing to show for it at E3

  • Even though there were some issues with the orchestra (as Chat put in his post, and I completely agree with him since I too am in band), the very idea of it was epic! I was blown away when I saw Nintendo starting off immediately with Zelda's 25th Anniversary. Now THAT's how you start a press conference, =D

I was literally starting to cry while listening to this. Somehow I just had flashbacks starting back from the very first time I turned on my Super Nintendo to play A Link to the Past, and the memories just brushed by. :`)

lol wow you guys "Im in band therefore that gives me a reason to not like it"
Im in band too but that doesnt mean you will be better at noticing their mistakes…its just such a pointless thing to say..

    • Valgaldr

He does have a point though. Although It was a really amazing and original way to open a pressconference there was some minuses here and there. I'm NOT in a band by the way, but I used to be in a band and I do create music by myself and wheter you have aural skills or not you could hear that the performance wasn't the best it could be.

For example when Miyamoto wanted to hear the full "getting an Item, open chest" theme, there was maybe one or two of the musicians that started on the theme of "Fairy fountain" instead, think one of them was the woman playing the flute. But those things can happen from time to time. Especially if they were ensembled on a very short amount of time.

And when it comes to the sound itself, it was very dry. That may be because of the lack of or poor adjustments on the microphones. The Orchestra was placed in a relativetly small area in which there maybe wasn't much space for enough microphones. It would have given the musicians a very difficult task. It actually did seem difficult for them not to poke each other with a violin bow.

  • LinkMasterYoda

well, this orchestra obviously didnt have the commodity of multiple takes, which the orchestra that does SS will have, also it was a live performance without any mixing or mastering

(wondering what I mean about multiple takes? watch this at 5:05:

different sections of all of these performances were mixed together to present the finished version heard in the film)

  • DuelMark

Hey, I press play and it doesn't work.

  • Indigo

The download doesn't work anymore ๐Ÿ™

  • LinkMasterYoda

    The link is dead, Re-up?

  • LinkMasterYoda
  • LinkMasterYoda

Yes, but when they record SS, I am pretty sure, that they will be able to have multiple takes, and mixing and mastering, so even if they were horrible here, it will be most likely sound a little bit better.

I am not saying they did not make mistakes, and I am not saying that is excusable either, they SHOULD practice more, but whats done is done.

  • This is by far, one of the best songs from zelda I've ever heard. Some people say there was some mistakes in the timing of the song, but myself being a composer, I am pretty sure that it was intentional, as sort of an "echo". I can't wait until some MIDI artist makes an MIDI file of this song. It'll be great to try and play ๐Ÿ™‚
