Finally, we’ve got an official trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D! This game is just looking amazing. The trailer shows a few of the more memorable parts of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, such as watching Impa escape across Hyrule Field with Princess Zelda, fighting Queen Gohma, King Dodongo and Volvagia, pulling the Master Sword from its pedestal for the first time and more. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D looks like it’s going to be a breathtaking experience, for both older and newer fans of the Legend of Zelda series.

What’s your favourite part of the trailer? Let us know in the comments!

Its looking good, some parts look excellent, particularly Dodongo, but then there's those parts that make me wince. Two examples from that trailer, Ganondorf's horse rears up and down way too quickly, it looks unnatural and loses the dramatic effect. Secondly… what has happened to the Spin Attack effect? It looks terrible, especially the glow on his sword.

So yeah, personally its a bit of a mixed bag and always has been with this. Bring on Skyward Sword, though.

God dangit. Now I HAVE to but it.

I'm torn about the music… I guess if they redid it, people would be annoyed as well, and I do love the original music, but it just looks a bit weird, with the updated visuals, and the outdated midi sounds.

    • Callin

I was also surprised they didn't change the music.

They could have done what they did with Pokemon HG/SS and let you choose the new or old versions. Especially given the popularity and hype about this game, I'm surprised they didn't.

      • cloverplayer

you can change the music in HG/SS? wow. I didn't know that. I should try it sometime.

        • Anon

Well… sort of. You have to get all 16 badges first, make it to Celadon City in Kanto, and talk to one of the Gamefreak employes in their office building and they'll give you an item that temporarily changes the music to the old music. It doesn't stay on, so you have to turn it back on each time you start your game. And even then, there are some places where it won't work, and some the music can only be heard on certain days over your Pokegear's radio. I just have it registered to one of the shortcut buttons, so I can use it right away when I start my game. I personally don't like the remake music.

  • Alessandra

I love every bit of the trailer, now I really can't wait to get my hands on this and it's a month away! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • This commercial is the best I have seen yet (actually tied with Twilight Princess's trailer)! The spin attacks look very upgraded and at the end of the trailer when Gannon shows his Triforce and the darkness appears that also looked very good. My favorite part was the Master Sword though. The animation was very well done and Adult Link looked awesome riding on Epona in Hyrule Field.

    • Anon

Eh… I didn't find it THAT amazing. I was kinda hoping for something more dramatic, but, oh well… It's still nice to see more footage of the game though! I really hope this game turns out well. Speaking from experience, I find that most remakes never really do the original justice.

  • Lucas

Master Sword being taken for the first time is most memorable.

    • cloverplayer

I'm really glad they speed it up after you do it the first time, having to watch that same scene over and over again every time you wanted to shrink/grow was tiresome, and plus it sped up just seems alot better.

  • Keith

Looking really good. You can just tell how much work went into this. ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Am I a bad person for not being amazed in the slightest? I've feel like I've played this game before.

    Oh wait.

    • John

No, you're not a bad person. Remakes of games simply aren't for everyone. I mean, it IS the same game – it's not like they added a new dungeon or two or even some sidequests or anything. It's perfectly alright to not be entirely hyped up for it.

I can sympathize – Ocarina of Time was not my favorite Zelda game. In fact, it's not even really far up my list of favorites. So in that sense, I'm kinda "meh" about the whole thing. However, the prospect of having a full 3D game on a portable console (unlike Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks that were only partially 3D) is pretty exciting.

      • cloverplayer

wow, you pretty much summed up everything I was thinking.

    • dark_link121

but remaking it is awesome, it makes one of the greatest games portable ๐Ÿ™‚

  • MoronOfTime

AH AH AH ๐Ÿ˜€ NOSTALIGIA~ Some one shoot me now >.>

    • Punnutty

Sorry there are no guns in Zelda or Zelda Universe. But, there is a crossbow. Link's crossbow training is awesome.

      • MoronOfTime

Dude I didn't say a gun, I said 'shoot' which can refer to any projectile weapon. Chill out.

        • Punnutty

Oh wait there is a slingshot and and many other projectile weapons. When you say "Chill out" do you mean calm down or lock youself in the fridge ? nevermind I'll do both. I like making jokes.

          • GorCoronSumo

If I ever hear that joke again I will shoot myself with a projectile weapon…

  • WilliamLuker

    triforce scene with ganondorf. tight.

  • Keimori

I shall withhold judgment on the music until i hear it on the actual game. because realy, they did just stick the Midi in the WHOLE trailor, most likely outa lazyness.

Etherway it looks great! nitpick all you want folks, but are you guys REALY going to pass up on haveing a Portable version of OoT?

  • AwkwardPigeon

As excited as I am for this game, I felt they could have made a better trailer. Personally I would have rather them used the old Ocarina of Time commercial trailer and music tagged with the original text (whilst thou sink, or whilst thou swim? and such) just with the new graphics. Would have given me a nice wave of nostalgia.

    • Shadowknight1

You'd really like to see "Whilst thou suck?" again? =P

      • SonicXXX

        HELL YEA! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Linksoer

Shiek's walk is alot more femenine now.

  • mini link

i know this has nothing to do with wat everyone is takling about but…. what happened to the mail bag vids?
p.s the new Oot looks realy good but i still prefer the older one because i can play it on my tv ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Amariel

It's… IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!!!! My favorite game remade in 3D with new graphics? It's like I've died and gone to gaming heaven!

  • MrFlox888

    OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It will be the ultimate portable Zelda game ever!!!
    I must get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Link

    That trailer was amazing!
I loved the part when Young Link pulled out the Master sword and when Adult Link was fighting Volvagia and fighting the Stalfos in the Gerudo Training Grounds.
    I CAN'T WAIT!!!

  • Ulises

Awesome game, crappy trailer.๏ปฟ Just my opinion.

    • Devin

Yea the trailer seems a bit amateurish to me. And too short!

  • KyleLink

YES! MORE ADULT LINK SCENES!!! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Austin

this looks excellent cant wait till i can get it

  • Gebora

I really liked the beginning of the trailer, but then the old Hyrule theme came on…
I really think that they should have changed the music. Just a little bit, to match up all of the new things. Sure, the old music is great but hey, so was the game overall. If you decides to do a remake, remake everything or nothing at all.
    I'll still buy it throught.

And by the way, did i see boobs on Sheik?

    • Shadowknight1

Remember, this is being done by a fairly small company, not by Nintendo proper. Probably what happened is they decided to use the budget for the game to really max out the visuals.

  • Linksoer

Also Adult Link looks pretty buffed up!
I guess he's been hitting that gym inside the temple of light all those 7 years!

  • KingOfHeart

Poor trailer. It really doesn't show off the new improvements they made other then graphics and faster teleporting between the two times.
Show the menu, show Link equipping the boots, show the new shops!

  • Maxxxxxy

This trailer makes me want to go play the old classic version. Rather than start saving for a 3DS just to get this new one.

  • Ray

Sheik seems more feminine then before.

  • Hey, it's not retextured. It's fully redone, in 3D. At least get๏ปฟ the facts right, if you're going to hate on a game.

  • Cam

As much as I love that OoT will be portable…
this trailer really makes me want to play it on a big TV screen XD

  • Legender

Haha, they showed like, the last scene of the game >.>

It's nice that it shows clips from so many locations, but sound quality is poor (may just be this posting) and you can't see a lot of the improvements. It just doesn't do the game justice.

  • linklink

seik has more of a girlish figer

  • Banooru

I agree… unless they add the beta content from when Ocarina of Time was gonna be on N64 DD. Also I have a little bro, and I would love to see him experience OOT with graphics that his generation is used to, I don't think he can fully enjoy blowing dust out of cartridges the same as us. : O==@

  • William

I pre-ordered, I can't wait for this! In my opinion the trailer was just OK, they could have done better, but i can't wait!
