Well this is something that is brand new! Youtuber “snubbyj” has put together a xylophone-like musical instrument made of PVC pipes. Using this custom built instrument and of course his superb musical skills, he plays several different Ocarina of Time melodies:

  1. Kokiri Forest
  2. Kaepora Gaebora’s Theme
  3. Saria’s Song / The Lost Woods
  4. The Windmill Theme / Song of Storms
  5. Hyrule Castle Town Market
  6. The Shooting Gallery / Bombchu Bowling Alley
  7. Zelda’s Lullaby
  8. Sheik’s Theme
  9. Gerudo Theme
  10. Legend of Zelda: Main Theme

When the Gerudo theme starts, a second “snubbyj” comes in to assist the first one and they finish off together for the rest of the video. Pretty good way to spice it up at the end, wouldn’t you agree? Let us know what you think in the comments below!

first i wanted to write something retarded like 'yay first' but now i've heard this and… i've got no words for it's awesomness!

    • Zelda's a whore

well atleast you still managed to write a retarded name

      • BTRBeatles12

        Haha, look who's talking.

  • Manga Ninja

    This is pure epicness!

  • Hydra

For the first few songs, I was thinking, "Wow, this is pretty cool." And then t(he)y started doing Gerudo Valley, and the video suddenly went from pretty cool to pretty awesome. Also, how much did it cost to get enough PVC piping to make that thing?? I want one of those.

  • MrMister

Futre members of the blueman group!

    • LoLZ246

      FREEBIRD!!!!!!!!

  • NintendoMasterG

That was epic! It would be even more epic if it was the Mario Bros. playing! XD

    • mcdude910

For everyone that's thumbing down NintendoMasterG's post, I don't he meant that it would be better if they played Mario music, he's saying it would be better if it were the Mario Bros. playing the pipes (as in, the kids dressed in Mario and Luigi costumes).

    • dark_link121

      that would be epic

  • Legender

EPIC. The only thing I noticed were a few flat notes in the main Zelda theme, but Gerudo Valley sounded AMAZING!

    • Nate

Well it is PVC pipe…. Cant be perfect pitch.
      =P

      • Rohan

Of course perfect pitch is hard to attain with PVC's, but he just used different notes from the source track, which is once again understandable considering PVC's of the right size are hard to come by. It took me around three to four hours to make one tuned to G :/ Just the amount of brute work that went into making that instrument deserves applause, aside from his talent, which was also exceptional.

  • This is pure unfiltered win. Such raw epicness makes me cry with sheer joy.

  • I FREAKIN’ LOVE THIS GUY!!! I just watched one of his PVC videos two days ago, so this feels really familiar. And it’s awesome that he’s into Zelda!

  • Just saw this guy's original PVC video two days ago, feels familiar to see him doing Zelda! This is awesome!

    • Punnutty

Thats because many people has done Zelda Link, a few of the gaurds, even Vaati but not Ganondorf. No not in that way they've beat the games, and they had fun in the last side mission.

  • peter

that was cool! especially when the start the gerudo theme.

  • Keiferm1

Oh My gosh! You guys actually read through that Submission I sent about him! ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Zeruda

This si freaking awesome. but he could have done the whole songs not cut them off.
this kid trained his dog with a zelda song XD

    • QueenxLink

Lol! What a cute Pomeranian!! That's awesome ๐Ÿ™‚

  • Akumu

This guy is amazing! I give him props. Homeade instrument and very good job on the songs and notes. This is true talent. Not that Meecakitty Zelda song bullshit.

    • cloverplayer

just because you support someone doesn't mean you have to diss everybody else

      • clover's an idiot

yeah, he only insulted Meecakitty, not "durr everyone else"

        Idiot

      • Akumu

Grow up, I mentioned one person.

  • Silver Scale

I really love that he did it in a single take (minus his clone)!

  • retroliv

    Awesome, just awesome!

  • Google Says

He just explained the definition of epic with music using PVC pipes. EPIC ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

  • Valgaldr

Great video, it was really something special and epic. And actually, after watching the video, as a musician and great interest in instruments I immediately thought that the instrument would sound amazing if he builds one made out of wood.

It would give the sounds that is developed more natural feel and accoustics.

    • Rohan

If he built it out of wood, it would basically sound like a marimba. The point of his PVC instrument is that it's cheap, and relatively easy (but still quite difficult) to make. Getting the right wood and making it the right shape would take a ridiculously long time, and probably end up being as expensive as a cheap marimba of that size anyway.

      • Sol

Actually, making your own marimba is cheaper than buying one; it's about $500 to make one, if you're using bloodwood (which has a good sound, but not as much as rosewood.) It does take a lot of time and effort, but if you get it right, you have an awesomely made cheap marimba ๐Ÿ˜€ And yes, I speak from experience.

  • John

That was great! The fact that it was a homemade instrument made it even better! Although, a few of the higher notes toward the end (such as in the Main Theme) were rather flat. It's still good for homemade, but he should try to tune them up a bit more if it's possible.

  • Punnutty

    Flys watch out! he's armed.

  • QueenxLink

That is SICK! So cool! ๐Ÿ˜€ The Gerudo Theme was awesome!

  • ???

Why did he keep looking upwards toward to the camera? Not to be offensive just curious.

  • dragonchi26

This epically epic video is so epic that the epicness couldn't possibly know just how epic the epicness could be. Damn that song was epic..
