Gamer Symphony Orchestra

Gamer Symphony Orchestra

Gamer Symphony Orchestra is a great, well… symphony orchestra. They have offered their amazing video game renditions on OCReMix, a video game remix website for a few years now. From their take on Portal’s “Still Alive” to Super Mario Galaxy, they’ve dealt with just about every amazing amazing video game, creating even more astounding music.

Just recently, Gamer Symphony Orchestra has added a new piece, “Hyrulian Highlands”, which is an orchestral remix of many melodies from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. This remix gives The Wind Waker a more lively feel than before with the upbeat staccato strings in the background. You simply can’t help but love such a fine work. Without further ado, here’s the song (it can also be downloaded here):

This sounds beautiful and relaxing, although the original WW intro had more of an impending sense of doom to it.

This makes me want to play Ww again.

  • I recently kept myself from downloading Wind Waker music because I have so many Zelda-related tracks already, but this makes me want to get it. So thank you GSO for reinvigorating my love for WW!

Go to ocremix.org right now, there was a song posted on the 25th called 'Rime of the Wanderin' Seafarer' by zyko. It's a remix of dragon roost island, and it's really, really good.

I never really liked Gamer Symphony Orchestra, but this song in particular was actually pretty good.

Eh, it's alright. Almost as good as the ones Darkesword and Tyler Heath made for Wind Waker. Did you guys hear them yet? "Ancient Hero" and "Pirates of Dragon Roost Isle" are quite AMAZING.
