Who needs a purse when you have a boomerang to retrieve your items?

Spotted and snapped by The SinfulKnight over at Kotaku, a Link look-alike in full Chosen One green garb is on display at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, NY.

We can only hope that a regal Princess Zelda dress is on its way. But please, please, please don’t let Tingle inspire any of your future projects!

Has anyone ever wondered what link would look like in real life. I mean in the games he looks cool but what if he was a real person how would he look wearing his green kokiri clothes?

    • Thareous33

There have been videos of this set up on "Boob"tube where people actually impersonate Link. Zelda was also featured in those. The most famous and infamous video was probably that fake trailer about the LoZ movie. 😛

I've seen those but i'm talking about him coming straight out of the T.V.

  • KingOfHeart

She looks really happy to wear those clothes.

    • I think you'll find that most models tend to look "happy" all the time in shoots.

      • Thareous33

Bastian! Naughty, very naughty. I thought this was supposed to be a family site. XD

        • Ah, you misunderstand me. I was being ironic about "happy" . . . I mean to say that models always seem to look pissed off in photos.

          • bastian always looks "happy" during photo shoots ;D

            sorryidon'tknow.

          • Haha, it's true. They don't want you to smile.

I know, now I understand you. The quotation-marked just nearly made my chair drop me. I hope I didn't discomfit you, because embarassment was not intended. We (all your fans, including myself) still adore you! <3

And now that I think of it, they do look kind of, "Oh, I wish I had something better to do…" 8-]

Someone please please PLEASE tell me that's a girl in the picture…

    • Chainoftermina

yeah, I'm pretty sure it is. Link Cosplays are always done by girls, because Link's body build is kinda scrawny and feminine. And I find that awesome by the way, I'd much rather Link be feminine than some body building macho football player.

      • Oh please, there are plenty of scrawny guys who can pull off the look. Not all men are duke-ass football players.

        • Chainoftermina

          that's good.

I just meant that when ever I see a Link cosplay picture, it's usually a girl, and that I'd rather see a girl play Link than a beefy man. Link is modeled after an elf, and elves are traditionally feminine. I wish I was scrawny enough to look like Link.

          • no! be proud of your "beefy man" status.

          • Chainoftermina

I'm not beefy, I'm just tall, broad, and kinda squishy. 😉 (hehe, jk)

the unfortunate thing is that no matter what you do, the hat always looks all flat and deflated, never like in the game. but it's unavoidable. that cosplay still looks pretty nice.

    • Tell me about it. When I was nine or so, I made a Link costume for Halloween and was VERY annoyed my hat looked like a dead balloon. Until I put some pipe cleaners and stuffing in it. Somehow I guess we're expected to think that the wind is filling out Link's hat? Or maybe it's not really made of cloth after all?

    • Muskiok

It's not completely unavoidable. Just tricky.

Epic, and i agree that tingle should not inspire any fashion… that would be disturbing.

  • Matt

But….. i love wearing green jump suits. 🙁
