Most Zelda games are released in Japan first before the English versions are released, but this was not the case for the release of Spirit Tracks.

In an interesting break from tradition, Japan will not be getting the game until the 23rd (three weeks after the US release), so they have only just recently launched their Spirit Tracks commercials. Hit the jump to take a look at three of them.

Holy SHIT!! is that the fire temple boss!? oh man……

the first one was cute. are the other two supposed to skip around at the begining?

  • Lord Rahl

whatever, i personally cannot classify spirit tracks as a real Legend of Zelda game, they should never have made a train like that, it is too modern. Sure, elevators have even made appearences in the games but they are operated in very medevial ways or magic, The Goron weight elevator from twilight princess is an example of modern, but not too modern.
    The train screwed up everything.

    • ZeldaNoob

Believe it or not but the steam boat was invented 6 years AFTER the train.

    • Jim

The pictobox from WW is like 100 years more modern than the train 😛

      • Callin

Or even the pictobox from Majora's Mask.

Bombs aren't exactly primitive, either. Or moving bombs (bombchus)…More items in Zelda are modern than some think.

What is wrong with you? I LOVE the train! it is so fun to drive and really makes the game better. Besides, has any one seen how awsome the targeting range for the train is?

  • Luhkeyone

So far I do not enjoy Spirit Tracks as much as I did Phantom Hourglass… Maybe it's Linebeck that I love ^_~

    • Sonic the Hedgehog

I do not know of one, but at you can find the link to an emulator for N64 games!

  • Quill

Is it just me, or some of the seconds at the beginning from the 2nd and 3rd commercials repeat over and over?

And I agree with Chaino. The first one is cute xD.

    • ChainofTermina

did……..did you just nickname me? um, look I know it's a long word but if you want to shorten it just say Chain.

      • Sonic the Hedgehog

Ok, chain. ST looks SO cool, but I don't have a DS (or lite or I). I do, however, have a wii, TP, MM (an emulator) and the first LoZ!

  • Labrynian Rebel

ST is definantly a real zelda game, and I am enjoying it very much, and since when has technology defined "zelda" anyways? Just little things like the fact that you can choose where you actually stamp the image in your stamp book, so the fact that the signs wobble when you shoot them with a cannon, is what I'm really enjoying now.

This is most definitely a Zelda game. The puzzles are very reminiscent of Zelda, and are, for me, pretty challenging. For example, right now I'm very stuck in a puzzle at- oh wait, it's probably too soon to discuss this. I don't wanna give away any spoilers, do I.
any way, the puzzles are very traditional. all the train does is replace the walking or horse back ridding. it's just a new way to get around. I really like blowing the whistle, and I really really, really, really, really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really LOOOOOOVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEE having Zelda with me! that fact alone is almost enough to make this my favorite Zelda game. almost.
you know what? teeny spoiler, at one point, Zelda and Link high five each other. I squealed a little inside when that happened. I, I know, im a total pansy.
but really, Zelda needs to do this more often. it is ingenious, beyond awesome, and the best Zelda related idea Nintendo has had since…….Zelda. I mean think about it. The tittle "the Legend of Zelda" ACTUALLY FOR THE FIRST TIME MAKES SENSE!!!! that's never happened before. the mario games aren't called "Super peach sisters" or whatever. this getting way too long. I'm done talking now.

    • Nintenfan81

Really, the train IS awsome. It expresses how big Hyrule is. For once, it seems like a real country big enough to be taken seriously by other countrys. And the high five scene was funny. Especialy since Zelda is a ghost.

  • The Power of Three

The field looks like it was in Ocarina of Time, except it is more cartoon like. And oh thank gods, I liked Phantom Hourglass but I thought it really lacked of music. The Pipe Flute really does make that a lot better. I'm so happy that Spirit Tracks came out, and I thought it is a very cool game.

  • Sonic the Hedgehog

    I mean Chain. Sorry.

    • ChainofTermina

wh-whatever. and I don't know what an emulator is.

Original normal old Nintendo DS's shouldn't be that expensive anymore. check out Gamestop or something.

      • Quill

Sorry Chain, I typed the extra "o" from your name.

        • ChainofTermina

          thats okaaayy

  • Curly Q

Is it me or both the second and third video just started to skip in the beginning. Omg! it's Linebeck!

  • zeldafan99

looks awsome!!!!cant wait to get it,ive been reaserching it for a year now.

  • zeldafan99

    DSI RULES!!!zelda game looks awsome!!!!

  • Shaelyn

I like the first one – and I like how it plays DA NA NA NAAAAAA at the end XD

but honestly, I like the American commercial more. it's more subtle.

  • Fire Bird

I cant wait to get it. I have finals next week, so if I bought it now Id probably just end up playing that all day instead of studying. Plus, im a poor college student right now. -_-

  • NewHyruleSpirit

Stop saying the train screws it up, its just that it takes 100 years after everything happens. and the land is called New Hyrule so there.

  • Fire Bird

Hey I just thought of something else since your all talking about modern things in LOZ games. The boats in the pirates fortress in MM had motors.

    • Nintenfan81

Wow your right. and near the end of ST some Pirates from the ocean realm get tanks.

  • Link Blue

I admit LOZ ST is a wicked game but it was too eazy i completed it in 2 days 🙁 i got everyfing……..

LOZ PHG was much better and still is my favourite also still have completed it im missing two ships parts 🙁 the demon hull and worn handle rails 🙁 apart from that i have finished the rest and it took me a few days LOZ ST was too easy………
