Hello folks of ZU. Jason was correct in saying I’d be showing up. Now onto some news!

It has been reported that Nintendo has not forgotten about you core gamers, but also to not expect any for a while. Hit the jump (oh lord I always wanted to say that 😛 ) to see more!

“We have never neglected our core gamers. We still have developers working on popular core gaming franchises but we need longer to complete these games, approximately two to three years. These games are not ready to launch in early 2009 but are being worked on by all development teams.” – Nintendo statement

This news is received as bittersweet. Yet again Nintendo has told us that they have not forgotten about their core gamers, but again we see nothing, until at least late next year.

In other Nintendo news, it has been reported that owners of Guitar Hero: World Tour for the Wii and PS3, may have to pay some sort of subscription fee.

Online gameplay is only available for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Wii and may require an additional subscription.

I don’t know about you, but that really sucks. Granted it is a rumor, but a rumor that looks to be true.

Man that sucks. I’ll have graduated by the time the new zeldas come out! (who knows if I’ll have time to play them after that).

You still have to be optimistic about this.

The longer you wait, the better it gets. I’ve learned this when I was waiting for OoT 10 years ago.

This is new news? In no wasy were we expecting a Zelda game in 6 months, especially since it hasn’t been announced yet. We were expecting early 2010-mid 2010 anyway. I don’t know why this is bad news, because it was expected anyway. It’s very good news, because you know they’re not rushing zelda and mario games out to meet fan needs.

Awww. Well, you can’t rush them. Hopefully the new game will be out in time before I graduate in 2011.

  • Nice post!!
